VCOD NEWS

VCOD Trivia Night

Friday August 30th is the night for Trivia Night where all the questions will be related to Deafness i.e. people sports building events and much more.  Prizes to be won and get a table of ten now or let VCOD put you on a table.  MC for the night is Simon Andersson and the John Hunt will be writing the questions.  Cost is

Under 15 free,
15 to 17 years old $5
Over 18 and member of VCOD $8
Over 18 and non Member of VCOD $12

Doors open 6 30pm and starts at 7pm.  You can BYO drinks and snacks (alcohol too) and VCOD will provide light food.

National Week of Deaf People

Photography Course organise by Deaf Arts network  2 places available

If you are interested in seeing foreign films with subtitles there is a host of films you may enjoy watching.  At VCOD we have gone through the list and there is over 25 films with subtitles.  They are Dark Water, Baran, Mostly Martha, Dog Days, Roberto Succo, Secret Ballot, Borders, Fausto 5.0, Deep breath, One day in August, Swing, Delbaran, To the left of the Father, Night Shift, Pauline and Paulette, Maya, Red Satin, Wedding in Ramallah, Beyond the Royal Veil, Shadow Play Indonesia Years of Living dangerously, Chihwaseon, Unknown Pleasures, Chicken Heat, Mon Rak Transistor, Cry Women, A one and a two, Millennium Mambo, Looking for Bruce Lee, What time is it there all about Lily Chou Chou, Happy Times and much more.

You can access the program by going to www.melbournefilmfestival.com.au however the programs do not seems to have subtitled added to inform people if it is subtitled.  However the book program clearly outlines whether films have subtitles and they can be picked up from any city cinema

Wizard of Oz
