A hearing impaired man was caught in a prostitution sting after giving an
undercover police officer a note asking for a sexual favour.
DJB pleaded guilty in Brisbane Magistrates' Court to one charge of
publicly soliciting for prostitution on Nov 27th 2002. The court
heard that the Brisbane labourer 34, handed a note to a female officer who
was posing as a prostitute in inner-city Fortitude Valley.
Prosecutor Brian Cazzulino told the court B communicated with his hand
gestures before handing over the note asking to pay $50 for oral
sex.
Magistrate Jim Herlihy fined him $150 with no conviction.
