The Deaf Fire Appeal is to assist Davina and Craig Stanton and children whose house and everything they had was burnt down in the recent Canberra fires.

They will need furniture, pots & pans, toys and anything you could gladly be parted with to help these family will be most appreciated.

This Deaf Fire Appeal is being coordinated by members of the Deaf Community via Deafness Resource Centre A.C.T. Inc. (ACTDRC).

Contact the ACTDRC to check what things are still needed by the family and to discuss arrangements for pick-up and delivery of items for this Appeal.

Please note: As of Thursday 23nd January, the DRC ACT office is still without power in its suburb of Holder due to fire damages caused to power lines. Power are expected to be restored to the office around middle of next week (around 29th January). Your Canberra peers are doing their best in these difficult circumstances to continue serving the needs of the Deaf Community in Canberra and surrounding regions.
