Who We Are...

The Victorian Council of Deaf People was established in 1982 after meetings with several Victorian Deaf groups. People from different groups wanted to work together. They felt they could do more as one large united group rather than as many small groups. They found that most groups of Deaf people wanted similar changes and improvements, such as advocating for the rights and equality of Deaf people and educating the community about Deaf people.

What is VCOD?
